6. Structure of the Competition
 |
|
|
About fifty competitors, who have passed the qualifying audition, are allowed to participate. There will be a first round, a second round, a third round and the final. |

10. Eligibility
 |
|
|
Those born between 1973 and 1989 inclusive are eligible to apply. |
|
|
11. Applications
 |
|
|
Applicants must complete the application form provided (obtainable through the website) and send it to the organizing secretary with two recent photographs of the applicant (5 cm by 5 cm), one of which must be attached to the space provided on the form.
Non-Japanese who reside overseas are expected to send a recording of their own performance (MD, CD, cassette tape only) with the application form.*1

12. Participation Fee
 |
|
|
Twenty thousand Japanese yen should be paid to the following account by bank remittance at the time of application (with bank transfer fee being at applicant's cost). In the case of applicants who reside overseas and wish to be screened in the qualifying audition, payment should be made to the organizing secretary by May 20 (Fri), 2005, only after receiving the acceptance letter.
The Participation fee is not refundable under any circumstances.

17. Judgment
 |
|
|
Performances are to be judged by the Adjudication Panel on the basis of the regulations provided separately. |
|
|
18. Travel and Accommodation Expenses
 |
|
|
| (1) |
Competitors must bear travel expenses. For competitors from abroad, however, half of the ticket price (economy class) for a round trip of the shortest distance from the nearest airport to the competitor's place of residence to Kansai International Airport will be subsidized to a limit of fifty thousand yen.
|
| (2) |
Competitors must bear accommodation expenses.
Competitors who wish free accommodation, however, will be provided with accommodation designated by the Management Board. The period will be from August 3 (Wed), two days prior to the opening of the competition, to the dates indicated below.

Prize winners nominated by the Adjudication Panel are to perform in an Exhibition Concert on August 14 (Sun), 2005. No performance fee will be paid.
|
| (2) |
Any matters arising over these Rules and Conditions are to be solved based on the Japanese version of these rules and/or in conformity to Japanese law.
