Synopsis<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As the winds of reformation blow at the end of the Edo period and the American Civil War comes to a close, former Black slaves, now set free, set out on a boat for Africa, only to drift ashore in a small feudal domain in Japan. With Japan under a policy of national isolation, a local official, not knowing what to do with them, puts them in jail. The lord of the domain, Okubo Noriyoshi (Yudai Chiba), however, is a man brimming with curiosity, and is entranced by the music the men play. Despite the protests of his chief retainer, Ishide Kurozaemon (Takashi Fujii), jam sessions begin to be held throughout the feudal castle. The daimyo\u2019s enthusiasm lasts until...<\/span>\uff1f<\/p>\n

Mitsunori Fukuhara (Staging Script\/ Director)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For me, \u201cYasutaka Tsutsui\u201d is the \u201csauna of Kabukicho\u201d. When I was young, I used to work late at night at a sauna across from Seibu Shinjuku Station, and I had a two-hour break halfway through. It means nap time. At that time, I, no, \"I\", was greedily reading Tsutsui-sensei's paperbacks that I had bought at a second-hand bookstore (sorry, they didn't contribute to the sales). Lying in a linen bag full of used sauna pants from customers, reading, jumping around, traveling, memories of many different worlds... In the example of the scene in \"JAZZ DAIMYO,\" I would like to develop the beauty and madness of time spent immersed in something on stage with the heat of a sauna.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rehearsals for \" JAZZ DAIMYO \" Director by Mr. Fukuhara are about to begin. Mr. Fujii has been a fan since before he started acting, so it's really luxurious. I want you to tell me when I was a child.<\/span><\/p>\n
