"The Green Table 2017" - Dancing with 50 people

Green Table 2017" is a contemporary dance piece newly created in Kobe in 2017, inspired by German choreographer Kurt Jooss's 1932 work "La Table Verte (The Green Table). Although there is no theatrical plot in Jooss's work, each dancer plays a specific character, and through the performance of the characters sculpted by Jooss, we can come in touch with universal human emotions. Green Table 2017" is an attempt to touch the hearts of people living today, taking inspiration from the core of Jooss's work and redrawing it from today's perspective. This time, you will see a specially created version for the 50th anniversary of the Kobe Bunka Hall, created together with a total of 50 performers, including participants from the open call workshop.
