50th Anniversary Series Concept
In the new era of "2025," Kobe must continue to improve the quality of its city and its quality of life by making the most of its diverse assets, such as the sea and mountains, beautiful cityscape, rural landscape, and the people who live there, while inheriting the history and activities built up by its predecessors.
-This is the guideline that Kobe Mayor Kizo Hisamoto set forth in his "Kobe City Vision for the Promotion of Culture and the Arts".
In accordance with this guideline, over the next three years, we will focus on the valuable cultural assets of Kobe, such as artists, artistic works, and artists active in Kobe, as well as artistic activities in neighboring areas beyond the city limits. We will learn from the history of the Kobe Bunka Hall and renew it, while creating new performing arts in Kobe. We will then transmit these activities from Kobe to the rest of Japan and to the world, and pass the baton to the new Kobe Bunka Hall. In this way, we aim to enrich the hearts and lives of the people living in the region.
Please look forward to the "50th Anniversary Series" produced by the Kobe Bunka Hall, including operas, concerts, plays, and contemporary dance performances that bring together the power of Kobe.
