In praise of Humanity
— 80 Years Since the End of World War II / 30 Years Since the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake
Even in times of hardship, people have supported each other, risen up, and forged new paths. Kobe has lived through World War II, the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic; this series reflects on the history of the city affected by war and disaster. In Praise of Humanity offers prayers for those who have passed, sings of the hope and bonds of those who gather for renewal, and looks to the future. This culmination of the 50th anniversary commemorative series builds on a rich legacy of performances and marks a new chapter for Kobe Bunka Hall.
